MATERIALS FOR THE MISSOURI ASSESSMENT PROGRAM

Iowa City, IA, August 26, 2008 — Buckle Down Publishing, a national leader in state-specific
test preparation, has announced the release of communication arts, math, and science test-preparation materials developed exclusively for the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP). New editions are 100% aligned to tested Show-Me Standards and provide students with practice precisely formatted to match the MAP. Released in early 2008 for the 2008-2009 testing season, MAP communication arts and math editions are available for grades 3-12 and MAP science prep is available for grades 5 and 8.

Highlights of the new Buckle Down MAP series include:

• End-of-lesson practice sections and two external practice tests matched precisely
to the MAP format, building familiarity and reducing test anxiety to effectively
raise scores.

• Review focused exclusively on testable standards, preserving valuable classroom
time.

• Missouri-specific content to build on students' experiential base and reinforce
learning.

• Appropriate page counts and uncluttered layouts to make materials approachable
for frustrated learners and build student confidence.

“We are pleased to announce the addition of Missouri test prep to our product line,” said
Dr. Thomas Emrick, President of Buckle Down Publishing. “Missouri educators and students have been searching for MAP test preparation methods that are ready-to-use, and
Buckle Down is happy to bring our decades of test-prep experience to educators in the
