BUCKLE DOWN PUBLISHING INTRODUCES NEW PREP
MATERIALS FOR THE MISSISSIPPI MCT2 AND SATP

Iowa City, IA, July 31, 2008 — Buckle Down Publishing, a national leader in statespecific
test preparation, has introduced new editions of its language arts and math test
preparation materials developed exclusively for Mississippi’s state assessment program.
The new editions for the Mississippi Curriculum Test, Second Edition (MCT2) and the
Subject Area Testing Program (SATP) encompass grades 2-8 and high school, and were
released this spring for the 20008 testing season. All editions are 100% aligned to
Mississippi Curriculum Frameworks and provide students with test-formatted practice.
Highlights of the new Buckle Down MCT2 Language Arts and Math series include:

  • Two external practice tests simulate the MCT2/SATP, building familiarity and
reducing test anxiety to effectively raise scores.

  • Review focused exclusively on testable standards, preserving valuable classroom time.

  • Mississippi-specific content to build on students' experiential base and reinforce learning.

  • Appropriate page counts and uncluttered layouts to make materials approachable
for frustrated learners and build student confidence.

  • “The 2008 testing season marked the first administration of the MCT2, and Buckle Down was proud to provide the best resource available to prep for this new test,” said Dr.Thomas Emrick, President of Buckle Down Publishing. “We’re proud to partner with Mississippi educators to deliver the prep materials that students need to excel on test day.”
